We are taking Jeremy's parents and my dad and step-mom to a beach house on the coast for Father's Day weekend. Can't wait! Jeremy just brought me to a spa down there for my birthday a few weekends ago, but I can't wait to go back there. We are also going camping in Bend, Oregon at the end of July when Jeremy does his triathlon. I will let you know what it is like out that way after we go. I love camping too:)Tammy Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09154757644383396846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-20816428595426107862007-05-31T15:30:00.000-07:002007-05-31T15:30:00.000-07:00I play it up that I hate camping more than I reall...I play it up that I hate camping more than I really do. While doing it, I'll have fun, but I'm a wilderness type. Campgrounds gross me out. Completely. It's actually not the camping that bugs me. I just don't love the being out in the middle of nowhere part. I'm much more interested in big cities than I am in lakes and mountains and forests.

And I love raccoons. We used to boil eggs to feed them when we were kids. We'd hold them out and they'd come up and reach out their little hands to take them from us. We have so many photos of raccoons on our porch!QueenieCarlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17524823624549544329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-84277358424731727262007-05-31T14:12:00.000-07:002007-05-31T14:12:00.000-07:00You would not have enjoyed my first camping experi...You would not have enjoyed my first camping experience then: bears (check!) toilets (negative!) :)TaraMetBloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00195175420535404188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-59007649941078359802007-05-31T14:05:00.000-07:002007-05-31T14:05:00.000-07:00Missed ya! (And peed behind enough bushes to last the rest of my life!) I grew up in Wyoming, for goodness sakes! I practically LIVED in a tent in the summers! And we did REAL mountain camping, too. My dad was always "packing" in case of bears! Ah, camping.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389467186154865527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-64029849570701201732007-05-31T11:05:00.000-07:002007-05-31T11:05:00.000-07:00I am sensing a pattern of your unbalance. Is it just cement things like parking lots and sidwalks that you have problems with or are there other things that cause you to fall?! I was so awkward growing up that my parnets would not pay for me to go skiing because they figured they would be paying for it when I was in the hospital!Georgettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06525093058123159725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-34768728917391326412007-05-31T09:27:00.000-07:002007-05-31T09:27:00.000-07:00I love camping too. We go sort of camping in Penticton but you can't have fires. I wish we could. i love the smell of a campfire too. now I want to go roast some marshmallows.Kirsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04155335329530686561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-37275467811004319562007-05-31T04:59:00.000-07:002007-05-31T04:59:00.000-07:00I've been "no toilet, no people, right in the wild...I've been "no toilet, no people, right in the wild" camping and I've been "flushing toilets, store and even a hot tub" camping. Too Funny!

I've not been camping in years! For now we can afford a hotel room (or convince friends of ours to let us sleep on their floor!) Not sure I would want to camp in England...it's not really done...except at music festivals.

Something we're both looking forwards to when we move home, have kids and have no money! I love it! Pardon the pun. We stayed on the coast...our room faced the beach. It was hecka cold, but I slept with the sliding glass door open all night to hear the waves.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8501489.post-35669018914647555122007-05-30T22:17:00.000-07:002007-05-30T22:17:00.000-07:00I love camping, too, but I'm a no toilet, wilderne...I love camping, too, but I'm a no toilet, wilderness kinda girl. I don't mind a campsite, but I want it to be a quiet one.

And I totally hate raccoons. They used to be all over the place at my old house and I'd get home late at night and sit in the car and wait for them to leave the driveway, too scared to get out of the car.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
