CHRIS POSTED......HOORAY!!!

Well well....looks like my other half realized he can type;) See now wasn't that a nice surprise for everyone. Something different than little old me rambling on and on and on.....

While we are on the topic of Napoleon Dynamite....Lori, you were right...you either love it or you hate it. And I loved it, sure it was super stupid and pointless but that is why it was funny.

That is all I have for today....no complaining, you just had a nice long post from Chris. We can't give you too much in one day now can we. I promise though to TRY and be back tomorrow with more exciting stories for you all.

Hope everyone is having a great week!!

Hello all, I haven't got around to posting in quite a bit lately, mostly because there is not much going on in my half of the "Adventures." We did get to watch Napoleon Dynamite last weekend after much waiting due to Netflix being mega-slow (and apparently buying 4 copies of the movie for all of Eastern Massachusetts.) I thought it was quite funny most of the time..."I'll do whatever I feel like doing...GOSH!" But it also dragged in a couple of spots, which all movies do anyways. The dancing scene is classic, as is the extra wedding scene at the end. Kip is great, but I think I rolled the most when Napoleon tried Uncle Rico's "time machine" that he bought off the internet. Money.

Anyways, I am just working a lot, today I had 4 different service calls all about the city. Usually a "busy" day is 2 or so. I think I am drinking to much espresso. I tend to get a drink after every service call I do (either a caramel macchiato, peppermint mocha, or gingerbread latte) and of course they are all free, so why not, right? But later on in the day I get all hyper, but then I crash when I get home. I just want to lay on the futon and watch TV. (I think that even BEFORE the job with Starbucks, I would prefer to lay down and watch TV...) But I think I need to curb my espresso habit to 1 or 2 drinks per day, and only in the morning/noon time.

No hockey sucks. I can only take so much NBA (of which I am sick of and have not watched since about week 3 of the season), and golf is only on during the weekends. Which leaves nothing. No sports events to look forward to, not until baseball starts and I can stay up until 10 PM just to watch the Mariners for a couple of innings before I fall asleep. Lovely. The Hawks have retained their Big Three, which I never thought they'd be able to do, but hey, I guess a franchise that hasn't won a playoff game since 1893 (No that is NOT a typo) has to start somewhere. Phil has been playing well to start the year, winning the last 2 tourneys, which has been great to watch. Hopefully he can ride that wave into the Masters and defend his title. Other than baseball, the Masters is something I am really looking forward to. Anyways, I suppose I should wrap this up. Besides, my fingers hurt.

Yes we are still alive...but our computer is not. I think that it has finally gone up to the little computer heaven in the sky. So for now I will have to try my best to update this once or twice a week. And like I always say....if you are looking for excitement Lori's blog is a great place for such things;)

Anyways things are about the same around here. Church is good, we went to "married couples night" the other night and had a great time and met a bunch of new people.

I am still counting down the days till our trip, I am soooooo excited.

That is all.......;)

Dinner and a Movie

WOW, two days in row...can you believe your eyes?!? I almost can't. I will be so happy once we have a working computer, one that I can turn on and check my email without having to wonder if the computer will freeze, or even load for that matter. Although, we do choose to suffer since we are saving every penny for our trip. Soon enough though, we do have some things in the works to get this thing running smoothly again. Anyways.....

Last night Chris and I had a wonderful evening together. As I mentioned yesterday we went to see Shakespeare in Love downtown Boston at The Wang Theatre. It was so fun, the movie was GREAT! We had never seen it and I am not sure why because it was so good. Now I understand why it won so many academy awards in '98. The theatre itself is incredible. It seats like 3000 and is absolutely beautiful. I must point out that it is not a movie theatre, it is actually a performing arts center. The cool thing is we found out last night that they actually have "Movie Mondays" once a month and it is always free. How cool is that!? Anyways check out the website and look at "panoramic view" to see the inside of the theatre. After the movie we went for a late dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery right across the street. It was so good, and what could have been an expensive "date" turned out to be a $23 dollar night including tip. Can't complain about that....dinner and a movie for under 25 bucks.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Everyone should be happy (especially Lori) that not only am I posting today, but I also posted a ton of pictures for your viewing enjoyment:)

So we weren't sure what we were going to do today to celebrate Valentine's Day, we are going on vacation soon and so we are saving every penny we have. Anyway Chris just called me a little while ago to tell me that one of the big theatres downtown Boston is playing Shakespeare In Love for free tonight. How fun, so it is dinner for us and then off to the movie. I am not sure where we are going to go for dinner though, I will have to think about that one still.

We didn't get to church this Sunday since I have been sick since last Tuesday. First it was the full on flu (YUCK), and then turned into some sort of nasty upper respiratory infection or something. Although about 5 people have told me I totally sounded like I had laryngitis. Who knows....what I do know is that I am feeling A LOT better today.

We also were dog sitting for our landlords this past week. They live upstairs so we didn't really have to go far. But it was fun, and so good for Belle to have all the social time. They did have their moments though, my dog does not take well to other dogs getting near her food or toys. Aside from that stuff though I think all 3 of them had a great time playing.

I don't want to tempt fate here and write some long post only to have it freeze. Hopefully it won't be so long this time in between posts.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

I came across this pic of me today from a few years back. It made me laugh, look how dirty my car is. How I loved that little blue car, lol. Really though I did, it got me where I needed to go and where Tammy needed to go. lol! Posted by Hello

COFFEE!!!

Chris gets a free pound of coffee a week through work. Which is fun because each week we get a different kind. Sometimes we send them out to other people, but I am learning more and more that drinking a pound of coffee a week between two people is really not that difficult. Anyway, we are just finishing off a pound of Gold Coast! YUMMY! Which is Aileen's favorite and now I know why. I guess you could say Chris and I are a little addicted to our coffee, but I mean how can you not be. Between the free pound a week and the 30% discounts in the stores it really isn't our fault. And don't forget Chris gets free drinks all day long at work...a Gingerbread Latte here, a Peppermint Mocha there....and he wonders why he is always up so late at night! lol. All this talk about coffee makes me think I should change the name of my blog to something coffee related. hmmmmm!?!? Any ideas?

Blah Blah Blah

I know I know.....I haven't blogged in a while. Partly cause of the computer issue we have and partly cause well...who really reads this anyways. I mean honestly...I know Dave and Lori read it, but after that blah. Anywho maybe it is cause our lives are so boring there is nothing interesting to tell you about. Like this weekend, boring and uneventful. Went to church, watched the Superbowl. It is really no wonder there is never any feedback or comments except from Lori and Dave. Ok I am done whining now, and I am outtie!

Off To School I Go...

As most of you probably already know, I am planning on going back to school in the near future. I have always wanted to work with animals and I want to go back to school and become a Veterinary Technician. This can be a 2, 3 or 4 year program, depending on what you choose. For me at this time in my life I think the 2 year program would be best. Anyways the school that I was going to go to here in the Boston area no longer offers the course. There are only 3 other schools in MA that offer the program. One of them is in Newton which is only about 20 minutes from us, but the problem is they only offer the 3 year associate degree or the 4 year bachelor degree. The other 2 are over an hours drive from us. I guess it's not that bad, there a thousands of people who make that kind of commute every day. The other option that I have is to do an online program. Basically what happens is they send you the course work, and you send it back and really are open to working at your own pace. For labs and hands on things you are paired with a veterinarian in your area and they oversee that aspect of it. This is not totally out of the question I suppose, the one benefit from it would be that I could do the 3 year in 2. Anyways I am not sure yet, I need to really look into all the options and pray about it before I make a final decision. Either way I am excited about it.....

Good Read

I recently finished reading a book called The Sacred Romance:Drawing Closer to the Heart of God by John Eldridge and Brent Curtis. Go check out the link and read the review on Amazon.com. I just wanted to say that it is a great book, I think any of you would take a lot from it. That is all......
