Has it really been that long since I last posted? I seriously need to find a way to get myself out of this blogging funk I am clearly in and have been for quite some time. But before I figure that out I thought I would update you guys on the goings on around here.
Last Sunday Chris and I took an unexpected trip to the ER. We realized we were out of coffee and so Chris decided he would just pop over to the Dunkin Donuts right up the street from our house. As he was sitting in the drive thru he started to have a really bad stomach ache. Thinking that was all it was he came home, took some pepto and laid down. Within 5 minutes he was in the bathroom throwing up. After he laid back down he told me that he no longer had a "stomach ache" but rather just a bad pain on his right side just below his belly button. My immediate thought was that maybe it was his appendix. By 4 pm the pain was still there and Chris was once again throwing up. I think that was when Chris realized that maybe we should go to the hospital. So we got ready and away we went. When we finally got taken into the back and Chris was settled in a sexy hospital gown and a bed he was given morphine for the pain and something for the nausea. He saw the doctor, a surgeon and they were all confused. They couldn't decide if they thought it was his appendix or not. So they had him drink a big ole jug of white stuff so they could send him for a cat scan of his abdomen. The doctor came back with a confused look on his face asking Chris if he was sure he didn't have any back pain. When Chris told him yes he was sure the doctor was like "that's weird, you have a kidney stone, I have never seen it present itself like this." Well thank God it wasn't his appendix and he didn't need surgery. So they gave Chris a strainer to pee into and some pain killers and sent him on his way. The strainer is to try and catch the stone to take to a urologist to have it tested to see what kind of stone it is. Monday was filled with more throwing up and more pain but the rest of this week he has been fine. Just drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot. ha ha. He will go in again this week for another scan to see if maybe the stone has broken itself up. If not he will still have to give birth, for his sake hopefully sooner rather than later.

So other than Chris preparing to give birth things are pretty much the same around here. Just working a lot and trying to find enough hours in the day to get things done. Next weekend we are going to Cleveland for the Seahawks/Browns game with our good friends Shawn and Celeste so we are really looking forward to that. The plane ride I could do without but the rest of the weekend will be a fun time.

Poor Chris. Tell him that I hope he's feeling better in no time. I've missed you, girl. Have fun on your trip to Cleveland!

Ugh! Billy had a kidney stone about 10 years ago and again a few months back. Not fun!

I hope Chris feels better soon.

Oh I am sooo sorry to hear that! I cannot imagine the pain of peeing out a stone. That really does scare me almost more then child birth. I hope that he is nice and doped up when it happens! :)

Oh OUCH! No thank you. I hope everything went okay and that it passed before your trip because that could put a damper on things.
