Kerry Park

Recently some friends of ours back in Seattle got engaged, coincidently they got engaged at the same place we did....Kerry Park in Seattle. I really suggest checking that page out and looking at the panoramic views on there, its beautiful. I read a great write up on it this is what it said...

"Folks come from far and near to enjoy the panoramic view from this tidy little park nestled on the south slope of Queen Anne. Joggers, sweethearts, newcomers, natives. Tour buses make regular stops, and local and national news teams use the lovely vista as a broadcast backdrop. Years ago (1927), Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry, Sr. donated the block after the city of Seattle promised they would never build on or in front of the property. On a clear day, neighbors pause and picnic to watch the sunrise or sunset in glorious Technicolor. You can relax on the wooden benches while Seattle's morning sky transforms from dark to pink to blue, or watch the evening sun reverse this palate.

When you glance southeast, the Space Needle dominates the fabulous cityscape, Mount Rainier just to the right. Out in Puget Sound, vibrant orange lifts resemble giant preying mantises awaiting their next shipment of containers. A wide-angle scan exposes Elliot Bay with its ferry and freighter traffic, sailboats dotting the afternoon and weekend horizon. Straight across the Bay, West Seattle and historic Alki Beach await, and a tad more to the right, Bainbridge Island. At twilight, on warm summer evenings, the prisms of sunset bounce off downtown glass buildings, beaming the shafts back to the Queen Anne neighborhood. There's no playground, but people never tire of this quiet, but stunning vantage"
