This is what Belle does every night around 5 pm. She sits on the step in our hallway and watches the door waiting for Chris to come home. She is such a daddy's girl.
So that's "the step" that we've heard about. Dude, that is one big step. Why isn't there another step? Or is this some kind of illusion? Cause that step looks really high.
It is really high, its just this dumb carpeted step. We have no idea why its there. It is prob a foot or so high. I am proud to say that i only fell over it once:)
Wait! Is that a step "up" to a higher level? Or is it more of a barricade? Hard to tell in the pic. If it's a step "up" to a higher level then it should have a second lower step to make it easier to get up and down. If it's a barricade then...what? Is it wood or concrete under the carpet? Can you tell? Is it possible that plumbing is running through there?
The step is not a step up to another level, it is more like the barricade you speak of. It is part of the load-bearing concrete foundation, so unfortunately, we can't just get it removed. It is carpeted, but it is not very padded, so you can totally tell that concrete lies beneath. Yes, Evey has fallen over the step once, and basically did a faceplant onto our wood floor. I was unlucky enough to miss it, but I definitely heard it. I have tripped over the step many a time (because it is quite higher than you think), but I have yet to biff.

That is very sweet that she waits for her Daddy.
