Date Night

Chris and I decided to go out on a 'date' tonight. So when he got home this evening from work we got ready, locked the dog up in her kennel and we were off. First was a stop at the grocery store for some drinks and snacks for the movie. Then we headed over to this little pizza joint not far from our house. We had never been there and wanted to try it. They had a special on for 2 slices and a pop for 3 bucks so we decided to go for it. It was actually really good. I have found that I would rather have a huge slice from places like that than Pizza Hut or anything. I just think they are so much better. We ate in the car on the way over to the movie theatre and we went and saw War of the Worlds. And yes I know Tom Cruise has been making a huge ass of himself all over the media lately, but he is still a great actor and War of the Worlds was just another example of that. The movie itself was awesome, I am so glad we decided to go see it. Definitely one that needed to be seen in theatres. I always like to see what previews there are as well, we saw a preview tonight for King Kong directed by Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings). It looks awesome, I can't wait.

So that was that, when we got home we took Belle for her walk and now we are watching the baseball game. We would have hit up Starbucks on the way home but they were closed dangit. I wish we had some decaf at home, I would love a cup of joe right now but we only have regular and I would be up ALL night if I drank some at this hour. Alright...That is all!!

KING KONG! I saw the preview a couple days ago and it looks great.

You bought chips and pop and snuck them into the theater? Shame.

Glad you saw War of The Worlds, it really was a great movie, and the special effects were outstanding. Once again Steven Speildberg has outdone himself again.
Snacks, yup i do the same, when i pay 13.50 to see the movie there is no way i am paying another 13.50 just for snacks, do you take an oversized purse with you, that is what susan does...

You should come to Jersey and get some REAL pizza! We wouldn't dream of eating Pizza Hut - I have about 50 real Italian pizzerias within 5 miles of me, no exaggeration! Glad your date was fun!

Hey True...I don't know what took me so long to realize that Pizza Hut and all those "franchised" places are just not good pizza.

I am not sure I will ever be able to stomach prunes Dave. Althoough I suppose if I am 80 and need em I might not have the choice.
